Why it exists

The cheapest sticker price is rarely the cheapest order.

One store has the record for a dollar less, but charges $9 shipping. Another is free over $99. A third owes you sales tax; a fourth doesn't. And half the "matches" you find online are a different pressing entirely. Bin Sifter does that arithmetic for every store at once — on the exact editions you actually want.

The right pressing, not just the title

Every listing is matched to an exact Discogs pressing through an evidence ladder — barcode first, then attributes — so you're comparing the same record, not a lookalike edition.

True landed cost

Price plus each store's real shipping rules and free-shipping thresholds, plus Washington sales tax computed from each store's own policy. The number you see is the number you'll pay.

Optimized split orders

Feed it your whole want list and it finds the best way to divide it across stores — cheapest overall, fewest checkouts, or best return policy — then opens each cart pre-filled.

The Want List optimizer

Your whole list, sorted into the smartest order.

Paste in the records you're chasing, pick a pressing for each, and Bin Sifter compares complete order plans — not just individual prices. It weighs shipping thresholds and tax across every store together.

  • Compare a multi-store split, a two-store plan, or a single checkout
  • See subtotal, shipping and tax broken out for each plan
  • Handles preorders and color variants without guessing
  • One click opens every store's cart, filled and ready for you

A store database that stays honest

Shipping, tax and returns — kept per store.

Bin Sifter tracks the policies that actually move the total: free-shipping thresholds, flat rates, whether a store collects Washington tax, return terms and quality notes. Tax status is re-verified every January, and edits that conflict with verified data ask you which to keep.

  • Around twenty real stores, with verified no-tax flags
  • Per-store shipping rules feed straight into the cost math
  • Add your own stores and notes

How it works

From want list to filled carts, in four steps.

Your PC checks around twenty stores for that pressing and reads each one's shipping and tax rules.

Compare true totals

Offers are ranked by all-in landed cost, and your want list is optimized into the best order plans.

You check out

Bin Sifter opens each store's cart pre-filled. You review and click Buy. It never pays for anything.

Built on firm rules

Yours to control, by design.

It can't spend money

A human always completes checkout. Bin Sifter only ever fills a cart and hands it to you.

It runs locally

All store lookups happen on your own Windows PC — nothing runs in the cloud, and your Discogs token stays on your machine.

New copies only

Used, preowned and damaged listings are filtered out, so every comparison is like-for-like.
